How poetry can be very powerful in delivering a message

Both writing and reading poetry, through their expression of feelings and words have highly therapeutic effects on the mind. The structure of a poem favours brevity yet the best poems also capture succinct detail, making them incredibly powerful in getting a message across to the reader. Poetry is great at asking questions, at destabilizing and making us look things in a different way, incorporating a diversity of voices of ways of thinking. That's what poetry is for. So it's a very powerful medium for diverse voices to speak and for other people to then listen to those voices.

About myself

  Hi everyone, my name is Arwean. I'm 18 years old and I'm currently in Form 6. My hobbies are reading, singing, eating and of course, sleeping :)  To be very honest, I don't really know what is my dream job yet but hopefully something interesting, exciting and I'm hoping that I'll be doing something that I love.
